Jim has been driven by creativity, innovation, and the urge to improve. That instinct did not always endear him to those comfortable with the status quo, but it taught him: even the brightest idea needs teammates who can sharpen it and move it into action. Curiosity and creativity became the engines of a career spanning criminal investigations, flying and ground assignments, policy analysis, systems acquisition, advanced technologies, and technical assessments in military service. His fascination with how the world might change led him into foresight and a post-military career as a consultant and futurist serving U.S. federal clients, global companies, and international governments. Jim is becoming a new kind of writer, building on his co-authored work with Rajat Baisya on foresight and product portfolio management while exploring connections between the senses and uncertainty.
