Gail Marie Mitchell

Gail lives in Nottingham with her husband and writes about the messy, beautiful, and often bewildering realities of being human. After living for many years with anxiety and depression, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2022 — a moment that reshaped her life and ultimately deepened her sense of purpose. Now retired, she volunteers from home with MS-UK and Age UK, supporting others through connection, humour, and honesty. Her writing explores resilience, vulnerability, and hope, drawing on her own journey of learning to live gently with uncertainty. She is the author of Loving the Life Less Lived (2017), All Will Be Well (2024), and an Anthology Messy, Bewildering, Beautiful World (2026) and is currently working on her first novel
