Edward S. Pound is Managing Director of the Operations Science Institute with more than 30 years of experience across industries including general management, operations, capital projects, purchasing, and product development. He spent 16 years as COO of Factory Physics Inc. alongside Mark Spearman, pioneering Operations Science and enabling organizations worldwide, from Fortune 200 companies to startups, to realize millions of dollars in increased profitability, improved cash flow, and enhanced customer service.

He focuses on practical, science-based solutions that build on employees' existing experience and enables them to make better decisions faster. Notable career highlights include two years in Mito, Japan as the sole foreign employee at JVC's Production R&D Center. Ed holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama, an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, and a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University.
