Michaela Francis

Michaela Francis is an Ohio native and grew up in a small rural town town. Here, she met her husband, Billy, and became a mother to her daughter, Anastasia. She's also a proud fur mom to Salem, Maze, Ham and Loaf. She works a full-time job on top of being a mother.

When she's not spending time with family or working, Michaela enjoys being with friends, reading, running 5k's and traveling.

Her love for writing stems from her childhood, making games with friends, reading and writing her own stories. The passion for literature has led her to where she is today.

Dark Shade is the first published book written by Michaela. She owes a lot of her inspiration to Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yaros, Jennifer L. Armentrout and Penn Cole. These authors specifically had a role in reigniting her love for reading and making her believe she can accomplish publishing her own.
