S. D. Farrow

S. D. Farrow is a Yorkshire based author whose

work reclaims familiar stories, fairy tales, myths, and scripture alike, and retells them through voices often left unheard. His body of work is devoted to justice, acceptance, and the enduring power of love, even in worlds shaped by betrayal, grief, and ruin.

Inspired by the darker currents beneath the stories

we inherit, including the versions recorded by the

Brothers Grimm and the ones handed down through faith and folklore alike, S. D. Farrow writes tales that honour the ache at the heart of a myth while allowing space for healing. His characters are often fractured, his worlds bruised by power and history, but within them burns the quiet insistence that life can be rebuilt, and that even the most familiar stories still have room left to tell the truth.

At heart, he believes in resilience, in the strength of

memory, and in the possibility that even broken things, and broken people, can find their way home.

When not writing, he walks his dogs beneath the

wide Yorkshire skies and collects pieces of childhood magic, particularly those shaped by Disney, believing that wonder, once planted, never truly leaves us.

His work continues to explore the delicate balance

between darkness and light, promising new tales

where courage, memory, and love shape the destinies of those who dare to dream, and dare to become exactly who they already were underneath.
