Dr. John Freeland

Dr. John Freeland is a pastor, teacher, and writer with a passion for helping people move from surface-level faith into genuine intimacy with God. He currently serves as Pastor of Prayer, Care, and Worship Ministries at Mt. Bethel Church in Marietta, Georgia — a congregation rooted in the Wesleyan-holiness tradition with a deep commitment to Scripture, prayer, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

John's calling to pastoral ministry crystallized during a mission trip to Brazil, where an encounter with God redirected the course of his life. After a season of prayer and discernment, he entered full-time ministry — and has never looked back. His work spans preaching, teaching, counseling, discipleship, and global missions, always animated by the conviction that lasting change begins in the heart.
