Ray Tye

Ray Tye left home in Austin at fourteen with seven dollars in his pocket. He survived as a homeless teenager, enlisted in the Marine Corps at seventeen, and retired as a commissioned officer with the rank of major. In his post-military career, he led large divisions through complex transformations in IT and cybersecurity for major corporations and government agencies. He holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Texas State University. Twenty-five years after leaving home, he reconciled with his father — not by erasing what happened, but by becoming someone who could finally face it. Travis Heights is his first book. He lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife Sally.
