M. Yunnus Saputra

M. Yunnus Saputra is an Indonesian police officer, investigator, technologist, and author whose life journey has crossed the worlds of law enforcement, technology, culture, and spiritual inquiry.

With more than two decades of investigative experience, he has handled a wide spectrum of criminal cases, including homicide, white-collar crime, organized crime, terrorism, and cybercrime. Throughout his career, he has served in various investigative and leadership roles within the Indonesian National Police, while also contributing to the development of cybercrime capabilities and digital policing initiatives.

Yunnus earned a Master of Science in Applied Information Technology from George Mason University in the United States, becoming one of the first active Indonesian police officers to pursue graduate studies there through the LPDP scholarship program. His professional experiences across law, technology, and public service have given him a unique perspective on humanity’s relationship with power, knowledge, culture, and the rapidly changing modern world.

Beyond his professional career, Yunnus has long been fascinated by the timeless questions that connect all civilizations: Why are we here? What causes societies to rise and fall? How can humanity rediscover balance with nature, one another, and the Creator?

These questions became the foundation of Jatmara’s Book of Life, an epic spiritual fantasy trilogy that follows the journey of Jatmara Sai Bumi across the Nusantara archipelago and beyond in search of ancient truths, the Seven Gems, and the deeper meaning of existence. Blending mythology, history, culture, philosophy, and spirituality, the series explores humanity’s struggle between greed and wisdom, division and unity, forgetfulness and remembrance.

Through both his public service and his writing, Yunnus seeks to encourage reflection, preserve cultural wisdom, and inspire a deeper understanding of the interconnected nature of humanity, the Earth, and the Creator.

He lives in Indonesia with his family and continues to write while serving his community.
