S.P. Wagner writes science fiction driven by conflict, consequence, and character. His work blends military and political tension with emotionally grounded storytelling, exploring the ways war, loyalty, and sacrifice reshape both individuals and families. He is the author of The Barradan War Chronicles, a four-book science fiction series built around large-scale conflict, deep worldbuilding, and the human cost of survival.
A lifelong science fiction fan, Wagner was introduced to Star Trek by his mother as soon as it entered syndication, and Star Wars was the first movie he ever paid to see more than once. That early love of big ideas, larger worlds, and memorable characters never left him. He has been married for over forty years and is a proud father and grandfather. When he is not writing, he enjoys woodworking, cooking, and occasionally wasting a little time in front of the TV. He remains deeply grateful to the family, friends, and readers whose encouragement and conversation helped sustain the long journey from first idea to finished book.
