Rickey J Fort

At a very young age Rickey J. Fort found his passion in writing at age 8. As a child he wrote many poems and by time he was 13 he started writing songs and singing them to friends and family. By the time he was 17 he had written more than 90 songs and sang and performed them around the small town in Arkansas where he was raised.

After graduating high school Rickey relocated to Texas to further his education. He successfully tested out of public speaking and writing classes and after finishing college he started working in the tech industry. He managed to continue practicing his writing skills even though he was working IT, nevertheless he started writing help manuals for software companies.

The years passed as he became successful in the tech industry, he still continued writing in his spare time. Always hoping to finally publish some of his works as he had written so much material over his lifetime.

He began raising a family as he always dreamed of a large family of his own. He enjoyed reading stories to his children at bedtime. Many times, when he did not have a new book to read, he made up the stories and the children seemed more excited for the made-up ones than the ones he read from printed books. Oftentimes his children would tell him that he should write the stories down so that other children could enjoy them as much as they did. So, he finally took their advice and started writing down his stories right after putting the kids to bed so that he would not forget them.

The book "Nah Nah, Ne Nah Nah" is one of those stories. Leelee the frog, was named after one of his daughters' blankets, for which she called her “Leelee.”
