Yolanda Fraction, M.Ed., is an organizational development consultant and leadership advisor with over 20 years of experience across government, corporate, nonprofit, and academic settings. Currently pursuing a PhD in industrial organizational psychology, she holds a graduate degree in adult and organizational learning, along with a bachelor's degree in integrative studies and education. Warm, human-centered, and deeply practical, she works alongside leaders to foster better workplaces and effective leaders.
Throughout her career, she noticed a pattern. Most people do not hate their work. She found that workplace conditions either support or hinder both individual and organizational performance. She developed a core concept that a joyful workplace is simply the outcome of an effective, high-performing organization.
Yolanda knows that work takes up a significant portion of our lives and that each of us has something unique and meaningful to contribute. This belief quietly permeates her work, whether she is facilitating organizational workshops and retreats, consulting with executives, or coaching a leader.
She is the author of Joyful Workplaces, a practical book written for leaders at every level who want to understand how organizational systems and leadership practices shape the experience of work. She also hosts the Teamwork Sandbox podcast, where she explores how leaders influence teams and organizations.
Yolanda grew up watching the people closest to her do work that mattered directly to others. This shaped her understanding that meaningful work has many forms. Years of community and global service have reinforced that understanding.
She lives near Annapolis, Maryland, where she enjoys the Chesapeake Bay and spending time in nature.
