Irene Boston

My name is Irene Boston, and I’m a Criminal Justice student at John Jay College with a strong passion for writing, storytelling, and helping others. A lot of my work is inspired by both my education and my personal experiences, which allows me to connect real-life issues with creativity and emotion.

I write about topics like justice, inequality, and real-life struggles, especially things that affect people on a deeper level. I care a lot about victim advocacy, domestic violence awareness, and creating change through understanding and education.

Outside of my academic work, I’m also an author. I’ve written a children’s poetry book, poetry books for adults, and two chapter books. I’m also the creator of the Stormi Dream Series, a children’s book collection focused on helping kids believe in themselves, dream big, and grow with confidence. Through Stormi and her panda friends, I try to create stories that are fun, meaningful, and inspiring.

I’ve also published a mental health journal to help others on their own journey, something that is very personal to me. In my poetry, I talk openly about my own mental health journey, because I know what it feels like to go through things in silence. Writing has been a way for me to heal, and I hope it helps others feel seen, understood, and not alone.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to use my voice to make a difference, whether that’s through my books, my poetry, or my academic work.
