Katy Mooney

Katy Mooney is a leadership and performance coach and the co-author of UP! The Playbook for Every Woman on the Rise. She helps people get unstuck, build confidence, and make strategic moves that accelerate their careers.

A former attorney-turned-marketing executive and coach, Katy has built an unconventional career spanning law, branding, and business. She held senior roles at Banana Republic and Urban Remedy and has advised numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Walmart, Meta, Lululemon, and Procter & Gamble.

For nearly two decades, she has coached and taught thousands of professionals—from early-career talent to the C-suite—helping them navigate complexity, build influence, and move forward with clarity. She is the co-creator of The Momentum Method, a self-leadership program.

Katy was born in rural Appalachia, the ninth of ten children, and learned the hard way how to navigate work and life without a roadmap—making plenty of mistakes along the way. That experience shapes her pragmatic, compassionate approach to growth and advancement.

She lives in Santa Barbara, California, with her husband and their three-legged dog—her favorite reminder that imperfect can be pretty great.
