Manfred Lorenz is an Integration Architect with over 30 years of experience designing and implementing complex integration solutions, with a professional focus on the SAP Integration Suite and connecting systems in demanding enterprise landscapes.

Away from his professional work, he has worked almost exclusively on Linux for years. Programming, his own home servers, shell scripting and exploring what open source makes possible today are part of his everyday routine – productively and by conviction on Ubuntu.

He brings both sides into his books: the structured thinking of an architect and the hands-on experience of a daily Linux user. His goal is to explain even demanding topics so they are easy to follow without prior knowledge – from the user's point of view, not the expert's.
