Bürte Lachenmann

Bürte Lachenmann is a true northerner. Born in Hamburg, she was later drawn to explore the wider world. She lived for many years on the North Sea coast of Denmark, in the heart of the Wadden Sea National Park, in a thatched-roof house and in a university town. Today she lives in Switzerland. She enjoys hiking off the beaten track or cycling, and shares much of this on her blog, “Nordspuren”. On social media, she takes her readers along on her daily life, which revolves around research, writing, travelling and exploring. Alongside her work as an author, she works part-time as an editor for a local newspaper.
