Erin Weed

Erin Weed is a speaker, author, leadership coach, and creator of The Dig, a transformative process that helps people uncover their authentic purpose and distill it to just one word. She’s coached hundreds of leaders, founders, and TED speakers to find clarity and confidence in their message and mission.

In 2001, Erin founded Girls Fight Back!, a social venture teaching women’s personal safety. Until its acquisition in 2013, her team reached over one million women worldwide at live events. She launched the company in response to the tragic 2001 murder of her sorority sister, Shannon McNamara.

A social entrepreneur at heart, Erin believes our stories can transcend circumstance and heal the world. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Glamour, and other outlets.

Erin is also the author of Just One Word: The Surprisingly Simple Method to Discover Your Purpose and Unleash Your Power (Hachette; May 19, 2026). She lives in Colorado with her partner Dann, their two kids and two dogs.
