Blake Clark

Stuart Blake Clark is a retired pharmacist and was a cofounding partner of Home I.V. Services, Inc. in 1982, which pioneered the concept of the administration of intravenous medications to patients in their homes following surgical hospitalizations. As a result, stabilized patients were able to avoid extended hospital stays in order to receive multiple weeks of required infusions.

Blake has been hiking with a Single Tall Pole (STP) since his initial backpack (c.a. 1990) into the Grand Canyon. He has since taken more than 35 week-long backpack trips there. He continues to use his STP on all hikes, on and off-trails, talus slopes, boulder fields, backpacks, and peak climbs (including on 3rd and 4th class routes and Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks). As a trip leader for the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC), he has been teaching backcountry cross country skiing for 25 years. For this, he took more than forty Professional Ski Instructors Association (PSIA) training clinics.
