Thiago Velloso

Thiago Velloso is the author of bilingual children’s books that celebrate language, culture, and family. Originally from Rio de Janeiro and now living in San Francisco, Thiago grew up between cultures and has always believed that speaking more than one language opens doors to the world.

His book series Two Languages, One Big Heart introduces young readers to new languages through simple stories, joyful illustrations, and everyday adventures. Each book helps children see language not just as words, but as a bridge between families, places, and traditions.

Thiago began writing these stories inspired by his own growing family and the desire to help children feel proud of the languages and cultures that shape who they are.

When he’s not writing, Thiago enjoys surfing along the California coast and spending time with his family.
