Welcome guys!
I’m Jen Schmuck, a mom, writer, and storyteller who believes some of life’s biggest lessons can begin with a simple story.
When my children were growing up, I loved reading to them. Those quiet moments together, turning the pages, imagining new worlds, laughing at silly characters, and talking about the things that sometimes felt too big to explain became some of my favorite memories!
Today, I write heartfelt children’s books inspired by real emotions, experiences, and the things my own children have experienced while growing up. My stories come from the heart and are written with the hope that children and parents will see a little bit of themselves in the characters.
I write about big feelings, worries, fears, change, courage, and the moments in childhood when the world can feel a little overwhelming.
My books include Benny Beats Bedtime, a whimsical adventure about bedtime fears, courage, and discovering that bravery can come from within. I’m also the author of The House That Split in Two, a story created to help children navigate the difficult emotions that can come with family change.
As a mother, I know that children don't always have the words to explain what they're feeling. Sometimes, a story can give them those words and remind them that they're not alone, their feelings are okay, and they are stronger than they think.
Every book I write is personal to me. The stories are written from the heart, inspired by life, love, motherhood, and experiences that have touched my family. My hope is that they give children a little comfort, courage, reassurance, and hope, while giving parents a meaningful way to start conversations about the feelings that matter most.
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my author page and welcome to my little corner of storytelling, where every story is written with a whole lot of heart, love, imagination, and hugs. 💛📚🤗✨
