Dr. Franco “Frank” E. Santos' professional life has been defined by a deep interest in human development and the science of learning. Following his early service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Santos dedicated himself to academia and public service, earning a doctoral degree in Education alongside bachelor's and master's degrees in Psychology.

As a former professor of Psychology and a clinical psychotherapist, Dr. Santos has spent decades exploring the complexities of human learning, behavior, and motivation. His extensive background in training and educational advisory roles including work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, informs a storytelling style that is both professionally grounded and deeply accessible to young readers.

Today, as the creator of "The Adventures of Chomp the Chimp™" series, Dr. Santos focuses on literature that encourages children to slow down and find beauty in the "here and now." Drawing on existential philosophy and a career spent studying how we grow, his work invites families to practice mindfulness and observation in their daily lives.
