Ian Bain

Ian has spent the last 35 years in a constant battle with a Chronic health condition which is not often talked about called Ulcerative Colitis.

After spending the majority of this time attempting to keep his condition private, he has decided it is finally time to share the raw reality of his experiences.

In his debut book, the Memoir 'My Life in the Bathroom (and other places too)'. Ian has sought to reassure his teenage self, that life would get better, while also reassuring other "IBD Warriors" that they aren’t alone in the "multi-pooing brigade".

Based in West Sussex, UK Ian is a married father of 2 and the principal servant to the family cat.

When Ian isn't writing he can be often be found cooking, weightlifting or during more challenging periods building Lego at home, doing his best to show that his chronic condition is not in charge, nor does it have to be a barrier to a great and fulfilling life.
