Baljinder Kaur

Baljinder Kaur is the winner of the V&A Illustration for Children Award 2026 and was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal 2026 for The Sleeper Train. Her work often, and intimately, reflects through the lens of a Panjabi and Sikh diaspora existence. She’s keen to share stories that help us to connect deeper; stories that celebrate our differences as well as our wonderfully interconnected nature. Baljinder currently lives in the West Midlands.
