He graduated from Webster City High School in 2004, carrying with him the small-town grit and grounded perspective that would later shape the tone and realism in his fiction.

After high school, Jason served in the United States Navy, where discipline, pressure, and high-stakes responsibility became part of daily life. That time in uniform sharpened his instincts for tension and consequence—two elements that now run through every chapter he writes. Following his service, he continued his education at Iowa Central Community College, building on the foundation he’d already earned through hard work and persistence.

Today, Jason works as an EMT, a job that places him where fear is real, seconds matter, and people reveal who they truly are. The work exposes him to raw emotion—panic, grief, courage, survival—and to the thin line between a normal day and a life-changing moment. Those experiences fuel his writing with authenticity and urgency. He doesn’t just imagine what terror feels like—he understands the physiology of it: the adrenaline, the silence, the chaos, the aftermath.
