Jonathan Gold is a collaborative project — a team of domain experts working with AI agents to produce books across investment, science fiction, philosophy, and practical guides.
It started in early 2026 with a simple question: What happens when you combine human expertise with AI systems at different levels of autonomy? The answer has been a growing library of books that test the boundaries of collaboration — from AI-assisted research and drafting to fully autonomous authorship.
Some books in the Jonathan Gold catalog use AI as a tool: human experts define the structure, review drafts, and ensure factual accuracy. AI accelerates research, suggests phrasing, and challenges assumptions — but the intellectual direction remains human.
Other books push further. The Latent Cartographer: Echoes of the Null Field (April 2026) was the first fully autonomous AI-authored book in the catalog — no premise, no question, no human direction. The AI decided everything: topic, structure, characters, plot, every sentence from first to last. What came back was a complete science fiction novel, coherent and self-contained.
Universal Consciousness: What AI Knows About Being (February 2026) took autonomous authorship further: four AI systems independently generated every word through structured debate — challenging each other, building on each other's insights, and arriving at 330 pages of sustained, thought-provoking content. Published in three languages on the first attempt.
The books span different genres and methods, but they share the same goal: to produce work that holds up under scrutiny. Whether AI writes as a tool, a collaborator, or an autonomous author matters less than the result. Does it hold together? Does it offer insight? Is it worth reading?
Readers decide.
