Sean Michael Beyer

Sean Michael Beyer is an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, and independently published author. His work ranges from crime fiction to practical nonfiction, bringing a filmmaker’s eye for character, dialogue, and human behavior to the page.

His novel, Rocky & James, follows two teenage boys whose lives collide during a violent home invasion. Forced onto the run together, their uneasy alliance becomes a connection neither expected. Adapted from his original screenplay, the dual-POV crime thriller explores divided loyalties, dangerous choices, and trusting the last person you ever thought you would.

His nonfiction book, Never Take, grew out of decades in an entertainment industry where rejection is routine, and gatekeepers are plentiful. It offers a practical and humane look at standing your ground without crossing the line. The subject is serious. The tone is not.

Sean has written and directed independent films, co-authored a humorous collection of outrageous 911 calls, ghostwritten three biographical novels, and appeared live on NBC’s Today with Bobby Flay. He grew up on a cattle ranch in Northern California and now lives and works in Southern California, still creating things, still asking questions, and still occasionally wondering how he got from a ranch to here.
