J P. Rizo

Javier Pérez Rizo is a speculative fiction writer whose work explores the strange, the mythic, and the uncanny across science fiction, fantasy, and dark fabulism. He graduated in History and Creative Writing from the University of Havana and trained in several Cuban literary institutions, where he developed a voice shaped by his love for science, alternate timelines, and the immersive power of the fantastic.

His short fiction has been recognized in multiple fantasy and science fiction contests and appears in international publications. His stories include “Landing Day” (Academy of the Heart and Mind, April 2024), “The Truest of the Dinosaurs” (Bewildering Stories, February 2024), and “The Devil Has Bat Wings”, accepted for publication by Black Hare Press in their Dark Moments and Patreon Year Six anthology series. His work also appears in Intangience: The Lighter Side of Weird (March 2024).

Javier is a member of the Open Space literary group and the Online Writing Workshop for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror, communities that continue to shape his craft and his commitment to imaginative storytelling
