Mark David DeVilbiss

Mark David DeVilbiss is an author whose writing explores grace, identity, transformation, and what it means to discover who you truly are in Christ.

His books grew out of a life marked by both faith and loss. After experiencing profound tragedy as a young man and walking through decades of ministry, marriage, heartbreak, failure, and restoration, Mark writes from experience rather than theory. His central conviction is simple: lasting transformation does not begin with trying harder. It begins with discovering who God has already made us to be.

His work challenges performance-based Christianity and the exhausting belief that acceptance must somehow be earned. Instead, he continually returns readers to the finished work of the Cross, the transforming power of grace, and an identity rooted in Christ rather than behavior.

Mark is the author of How to Destroy Your Life: A 12-Step Program, How to Become a Man without a Dad: Words to My Younger Self, Father of Lights: Discovering Your True Identity Through the Cross, The Grace Reset, God Loves Me—But Does He Like Me?, and Walking Too Comfortably on the Ground of Grace.

He currently lives and writes in Uganda.
