Cidalisa de Braga

Cidalisa De Braga — known simply as Lisa to friends and family — was born in Maia, São Miguel, in the Azores. As a young child, she immigrated with her parents to Montreal, Canada, where she grew up navigating between cultures and languages.

A devoted mother and passionate traveler, Lisa spent 27 years in the airline industry before retiring to finally explore the chapters of her own life story. This Time, I Stayed is her debut memoir — a love story four decades in the making.

Montreal remains the heart of her roots, but Mexico holds a special place in her soul.
