Crysta Duryea grew up in the Philadelphia area and earned her Bachelor of Science from Ursinus College. A lifelong fan of thrillers and psychological mysteries, she draws on her fascination with the human mind to craft suspenseful, character-driven stories.

After six years in recruiting, significant health challenges with seizures and an epilepsy diagnosis changed her pace. She now lives in Cape May, New Jersey, with her husband—her college

sweetheart—and their two beloved dogs.
