Savannah Campbell

Savannah Campbell is a K–5 reading specialist, literacy consultant, and the creator behind Campbell Creates Readers, a blog devoted to structured literacy and research-aligned classroom practice. With 15 years in education (13 of them spent teaching at the very elementary school she once attended), Savannah brings both expertise and heart to her work.

In 2026, Savannah released her first published book with Scholastic, The Megabook of Vocabulary. She was named Teacher of the Year for her school and Elementary Educator of the Year for her district in 2022 and holds two master’s degrees in education from the College of William & Mary. Savannah is trained in Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, and Reading Teacher’s Top Ten Tools.

Savannah helps educators cut through the noise by translating research into strategies they can actually use in real classrooms. Having personally made the shift from balanced literacy to structured literacy, she is especially passionate about supporting teachers through that transition without shame, jargon, or overwhelm. At the heart of Savannah’s work is the belief that literacy changes lives. Her greatest hope in life is to allow all children to live the lives they want by helping them become literate individuals.
