Michael Smith lives in a small village in the Warwickshire countryside together with his dog, he is a semi- retired builder. He is an animal and nature lover who is keen on conservation and the care of the countryside.

Michael has two grown up children who live with their partners and a grandson.

He has been writing for several years but only recently been able to illustrate his books and get them published.
