Ricky Watters

Ricky Watters is a Super Bowl Champion, scoring a record-setting 3 Touch Downs in Super Bowl XXIX, and former NFL All-Pro Running Back with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Seattle Seahawks. He is also a National Champion with the University of Notre Dame. Although he is most known for his football exploits, Ricky has written poetry since childhood. He credits his adoptive parents for inspiring him to work hard, follow his heart, and never give up on his dreams. Raised in the inner city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Ricky uses his story to encourage families to adopt and help inspire at-risk and foster youth. As a children's book author, and as a father who has come full circle in adopting a child of his own, he is able to shine a light on the joys of adoption.
