Amal Chatterjee is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and teaches Creative Writing at the University of Oxford. His work includes plays; the collection "Writer on Writing"; the Crossword Book Award-nominated novel, "Across the Lake"s; and the historical study, "Representations of India, 1740-1840". His short stories appeared most recently online in Ars Notoria, and other writing has been in Prospect, the Huffington Post, The Independent and others.
