John B. R. Long

With over thirty years in global operating and senior advisory roles, John B. R. Long is passionate about innovation and growth. In his senior roles at both Bain & Company, and Accenture, John became an expert in developing business strategies. At Russell Reynolds Associates and Korn Ferry, he recruited the top leadership talent required to bring strategies to life. John has led assignments in over 15 countries -- including China and Russia -- across 5 continents.

Over the course of his career in the consumer sector, John has been a senior advisor to the world’s most-recognized companies, including Apple, AT&T, Benetton, Disney, Gap Inc., Home Depot, IKEA, Lego, McDonald’s, Neiman Marcus, Michaels, Nike, PetSmart, Sleep Number, Sprouts, Starbucks, UPS, VF Corp., Walmart / Sam's Club, Warner Bros., and Williams Sonoma.

He is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry conferences and has been cited in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Women’s Wear Daily, and The Robin Report. John has been a guest on television and radio, including Fox Business, NPR, and CNBC’s Power Lunch.

John has a B.A. from The University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA.

John lives with his wife, interior designer Susan Bednar Long, their two children, and a goldendoodle in Dallas.
