Mr Ian Michael Procter

Ian Michael Procter is a former telecommunications engineer with over thirty years of experience in global network infrastructure.

He spent the majority of his career with Ericsson, working across both electrical systems and radio network deployment, with a particular focus on field-based commissioning and integration. While he spent time in corporate environments, his preference for hands-on work took him back into the field during the global rollout of 4G networks, where he worked across five continents and in some of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth.

This experience—combining advanced communications technology, real-world problem solving, and exposure to diverse landscapes and cultures—provides the technical and atmospheric foundation for his writing.

He is 57 years old, a father of three, and a grandfather of one. Now separated and enjoying a new chapter of life, he writes stories that explore what happens when discovery moves faster than understanding—and when the signals we send are not the only ones being heard.
