I began my career in dentistry after qualifying in India, where I built a strong clinical foundation alongside an enduring curiosity about advanced surgical techniques. That curiosity eventually took me to Japan, where I was honoured to receive a prestigious scholarship to pursue specialised training in Implantology. My time there proved transformative, both professionally and personally, immersing me in world-class research, precision-driven clinical practice, and a culture deeply rooted in discipline, refinement, and excellence.

In search of broader horizons and continued growth, I later moved to the United Kingdom to further develop my professional path and establish a long-term career. I worked across a wide range of clinical environments, including local hospitals and community dental services, gaining invaluable experience treating diverse patient populations, many with complex and challenging needs. These formative years profoundly shaped my philosophy of care, strengthening my commitment to empathy, thoughtful communication, and rigorously evidence-based practice.

In time, I went on to found my own referral practice, which evolved into a thriving centre for advanced dental care. The work was deeply fulfilling not only because of the clinical outcomes we achieved, but also because of the vibrant human connections it fostered. The practice became a place where I had the privilege of meeting and treating people from every walk of life. Their stories, struggles, resilience, humour, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on me and reshaped the way I viewed both dentistry and humanity.

These encounters ultimately inspired my first book, Create Your Own Silver Lining. The book stands as a tribute to people and to the extraordinary lessons hidden within ordinary moments. It reflects my conviction that every individual carries a story worth hearing, and that within every challenge lies the potential for growth, perspective, and hope if we are willing to look closely enough.

As I look ahead, my work continues to be guided by the same curiosity and respect for human connection that carried me across three countries and countless clinical encounters. Dentistry has granted me a front-row seat to the resilience of the human spirit, while writing has given me a way to honour and preserve those stories through a different lens. I remain committed to learning, creating, and contributing whether through clinical practice, mentorship, or the written word, always with the hope of helping others recognise and discover their own silver linings.
