Ilka R. Hoffmann-Bisinger

Dr. Ilka R. Hoffmann-Bisinger is a certified psychologist and the founder and director of iska-berlin, the Institute for Systemic Brief Therapy, Counseling, and Training. There, she works as a systemic trainer, supervisor, therapist, coach, and consultant.

She is certified as a trainer for therapy, supervision, coaching and systemic organizational development by the Systemic Society (SG), as well as a trainer for systemic couples therapy and counseling (DGSF). She also provides training at other institutes in Germany and abroad and lectures at various universities.

The author worked for several years as a research associate at the Mental Research Institute (MRI) in Palo Alto, USA, on Paul Watzlawick's team, where she developed the Ask!-Model – Analogue Systemic Brief Therapy and Coaching.

Ilka Hoffmann-Bisinger has received several awards for developing the Ask!-Model: in 2007, she was awarded the "Research Prize of the Systemic Society," and in 2025, she received the "Psychology Award – Innovation Prize for Applied Psychology."

She is a speaker at national and international conferences and an interview partner for various media outlets.
