Mary Baird

Mary Baird is a former nursery and infant teacher with a lifelong passion for helping children learn, grow, and gain confidence.

After training in the early 1960s, she went on to work extensively in education, including as a Youth Training Scheme Co-ordinator and later with Leicestershire County Council, where she supported schools and staff in developing their skills and systems.

Now writing children’s books, Mary brings her years of experience, warmth, and understanding of young learners into her storytelling – creating stories that are both joyful and meaningful.
