Michael is the the president of International Samaritan, which is dedicated to helping people living in the communities around the garbage dumps of developing nations break out of poverty. He is also a lawyer pursuing a Masters in Divinity and spent most of his life working to make conditions better for children and families in Detroit. His wife, Maritza, is a family nurse practitioner with a huge heart for the Lord forged by giants in the faith, her mother, aunt, and grandmother. They have three children, Grace, Julia and Jacob, who keep them young.
