John Falco

John Falco is a New England native and sales professional who was in the prime of his career when a rare leukemia diagnosis at twenty-nine abruptly changed the trajectory of his life. In his early thirties, he endured a 35-day inpatient hospital stay during the height of COVID and ultimately underwent a stem cell transplant thanks to his cousin, Christien, whose selfless donation gave him the chance to rebuild everything he nearly lost.

During recovery, John began writing as a way to process what he had lived through—the isolation, the fear, the fight, and the perspective that comes from confronting your own mortality at a young age. What started as private journaling evolved into Change of Plans, a memoir meant to guide anyone facing their own internal battle and to help the friends and families who want to understand how to show up for someone in the fight of their life.

Now four years cancer-free, John lives in Nashua, New Hampshire with his dog, Logan. He coaches youth soccer, mentors others navigating illness, and focuses on living with purpose, gratitude, and presence.

Change of Plans is his first book.
