Elyon Liu

Elyon Liu is a picture book creator and illustrator. She holds an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from the Cambridge School of Art and a Master’s degree in Economics from Peking University. Before turning to illustration, she spent several years working in the finance industry. She is currently based between Cambridge and Beijing.

Her work has received international recognition, including First Prize in the 2024 Apila Picture Book Award, the Bronze Award at the 2023 JIA Illustration Awards, and Highly Commended mentions from both the Macmillan Prize and the FAB Prize. In 2024, she was selected as a British Council Venice Fellow.

Her published titles include Asombroso! (Spain), A Seed in the Universe (UK & US), A Drop in the Ocean (UK & US), and The Drum Tower Monster (China).
