Yemi Ajayi is a children’s author and storyteller who believes that the most powerful stories begin at home. Inspired by family life, shared adventures, and the everyday moments that shape childhood, Yemi writes books that celebrate love, curiosity, and togetherness.

Yemi is the founder of Light Four Books, a publishing imprint dedicated to creating joyful, inclusive stories that children can see themselves in. The debut title, The Ajays’ First Family Holiday, captures the excitement, humour, and learning that come with experiencing new places as a family for the very first time. Through gentle storytelling and relatable characters, Yemi aims to spark imagination while reinforcing the importance of family bonds.

Writing with both children and parents in mind, Yemi’s stories are designed to be read aloud, shared, and revisited — the kind of books that become part of bedtime routines and family conversations. Each story reflects a belief that representation matters and that children’s books should mirror the diversity, warmth, and reality of modern family life.
