George Meressa

George Meressa was born in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. His mother worked in the royal palaces of Riyadh until the day she didn't. When the family relocated to Hackney, East London, George went from marble floors and security guards to tower blocks and postcode wars overnight.

He spent the next two decades trying to outrun that story. He built Clear Ads, an Amazon advertising agency that has worked with over 1,000 brands worldwide. He spoke on stages at the Billion Dollar Seller Summit, Prosper Show, and PPC Congress. He chased success the way most people do, convinced that if he just achieved enough, the fear would stop.

It didn't.

At 3:00 am in a deserted Vauxhall car park, everything he'd been holding together finally fell apart. His body was failing. His business was bleeding. A war was destroying his ancestral homeland. And he couldn't fix any of it.

So he stopped trying.

That moment and everything that followed became his first book, The Loser Takes It All. It's the story of a man who spent his whole life trying not to lose, and discovered that losing was the only way to win.

Outside of business and writing, George spent 15 years as a volunteer youth worker in Surrey, helping young people navigate faith and life.
