S.B. Ameen is a British Bangladeshi author and former primary school teacher based in London. Passionate about authentic representation in children’s literature, she writes stories that centre the voices, identities and everyday experiences of young Muslim readers, voices that have long been underrepresented on the page.
Her debut contemporary tween novel explores themes of adapting to change, faith and self-confidence, offering readers characters in whom they can see themselves reflected. Drawing on her cultural heritage, faith and years of experience in primary education, S.B. is committed to creating inclusive, meaningful fiction that empowers and resonates with diverse young audiences.
When she is not writing, she enjoys exploring new places, taking walks in nature and making the most of the rare appearances of British sunshine.
S.B. lives in London with her spouse and four children. Alongside her current work, she has completed several picture book manuscripts and is seeking publication for them. She is currently working on the sequel to A Change to Remember while also fulfilling a special promise to her son by creating a book just for him.
