My name is Michael, and I have been writing as a hobby since 2015. I began with fan fiction and alternate endings for books and video games, and that was enough to help me unwind after long days at work.

As a loyal bookworm, I was always happy to receive Barnes & Noble gift cards for birthdays and Christmas. In 2021, I found myself walking through the bookstore, gift card in my pocket, searching for my next adventure. Much of what was new on the shelves felt heavily politicized and not what I wanted to read at the end of the day. I left with the full amount still on that gift card.

I realized I could combine my two favorite genres—science fiction and historical fiction—into the kind of adventure I believed other readers might be craving. In 2026, I published my first series, The Departure Point Series. I hope you enjoy exploring “What if?” scenarios set within some of the world’s greatest cultures.
