Allen Hood

Allen Hood (M.Div., Asbury Theological Seminary) is the founder and director of Excellencies of Christ Ministries, which exists to proclaim the person of Jesus Christ, disciple the church in the knowledge of God, and build communities of love for Him.

For nearly two decades, Allen's ministry has been marked by a deep commitment to prayer, rigorous theological training and teaching, and extensive international travel. During this season, he developed and taught the course "The Excellencies of Christ," which would become the basis for his works over the years. He has spoken to thousands globally about the person and beauty of Jesus, combining theological depth with a pastor's heart for spiritual formation.

In December 2019, Allen founded Excellencies of Christ Ministries, launching a new season of ministry focused on discipling believers in the knowledge of God through teaching, writing, and creative resources. The ministry hosts the Solus Christus Society, a gathering of believers devoted to exploring the Scriptures and growing in love for Jesus.

Allen is a passionate teacher of God's Word, with a particular focus on Christology, spiritual formation, and prayer. His teaching combines rigorous biblical scholarship with a pastor's heart, making deep theological truths accessible and transformative for everyday believers.

Allen resides in Port St. Lucie, Florida, with his wife, Rachel. They have three adult sons: Samuel, Jonathan, and Joshua. Allen regularly travels, teaches, and consults with churches and ministries around the world.
