Janet Reitman

Janet Reitman is an award-winning journalist and contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine, as well as a former contributing editor at Rolling Stone. The recipient of a 2022 New America Fellowship, she has twice been a finalist for the National Magazine Award in reporting, and her work has been anthologized in the Best American Magazine Writing series, and in New Stories We Tell: True Tales by America’s New Generation of Great Women Journalists. She has written for GQ, Men’s Journal, and The Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, among many other publications. Reitman's previous book, Inside Scientology: The Story of America’s Most Secretive Religion, was a national bestseller and New York Times Notable Book.
