Metron S

Nino SaNlzone was born on the Strait of Messina. He graduated in 1982 in Medicine and Surgery. He specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and began his thirty–year career at the Hospital of Sondrio. He worked in England and then in Emilia Romagna before eventually settling in Tarquinia. After retiring, an artistic streak emerged, leading him to paint terracotta. Many of his works are reproduced in his books.

The books arrived in 2024 and form a trilogy dedicated to ancient Greece: “Greek Myths and Beyond”, an anthology of 23 well–known and lesser–known myths; “The Gods of Olympus and Beyond”, a novel about the redemption of an unmotivated student through the study of the Olympian gods under the guidance of an elderly professor; and “War flutes”, eight short stories set in various poleis of Greece and Magna Graecia. Last but not least: “The Boy from Ellis Island”, a saga-like tale recounting a twentieth-century story of emigration and courage.
