Alix de Sens is a French novelist born in 1962 in Neuilly sur Seine, into a family where books took up more space than furniture. Very early on, fascinated by the enigmas and shadowy areas of the human soul, he devoured the classics of the detective novel even before entering high school. This precocious passion for complex plots led him to study criminology and behavioral psychology at university, an atypical path that he claims as the matrix of his writing.
After a few years spent as a judicial documentalist in a high court, Alix de Sens decided to devote himself entirely to writing. His first novel, L'Horizon Pourpre (Crimson Horizon), published in 2025, immediately attracted attention for its dense atmosphere and keen sense of suspense. He already established his trademark: ambivalent characters, meticulously documented settings, and a narrative tension that never flags.
In 2026, he published his second novel, La Villa des Chimères (The Villa of Chimeras), which confirmed his literary talent by adding a touch of humor.
Discreet in the media, Alix de Sens prefers to let his books speak for him. He now lives between Paris and the French Riviera, where he most often writes facing the Mediterranean or in cafes, observing passersby as potential characters. When he is not writing, he leads writing workshops focused on building suspense and the psychology of characters.
Considered one of the rising voices of the French thriller, Alix de Sens continues to explore the gray areas of the human, convinced that the most dangerous secrets are always those that one hides from oneself.
