Courtney Bauer

Hi, I’m Courtney Bauer, a wife, a mom of three boys, children’s book author, and half of the heart behind Bauer Farms in Kansas.

Our farm is home to a large fold of Highland cows and a lot of animals that inspire nearly everything I create. Life here is full of muddy boots, early mornings, big laughs, and even bigger imaginations. Between caring for the animals and raising my boys, I’ve learned that some of the best stories come from everyday moments.

My love for storytelling started during cozy bedtime routines with my kids. What began as simple stories soon turned into a passion for creating meaningful books for children. My goal is to write stories that encourage young readers to be proud of who they are, to appreciate where they come from, and to understand that the grass isn’t always greener somewhere else.

Through my books and Bauer Farms, my goal is to connect families to stories and to the land in a heartfelt, authentic way. Whether I’m writing at the kitchen table, in the barn, or between school drop-offs, I’m always dreaming up the next adventure.
